The opportunities for the FinTech sector are addressed in many of the Chamber's activities and content, primarily through our Financial and Fintech Committee and our continued partnership with the UK's Department for International Trade.

We are delighted to be partnering in our FinTech agenda with Standard Chartered Bank, a leading bank in the FinTech sphere.

UK News

The UK Government has released an overview of the UK’s FinTech industry, highlighting the UK’s appeal as a destination for entrepreneurs and investors.

Business News

The expansion comes off the back of two successful trade missions to Asia in 2018, both of which were at the invitation of the UK Department of International Trade (DIT). Solidatus was identified as one of the top new FinTech’s to represent the UK during Hong Kong FinTech Week 2018 and Singapore FinTech Festival 2018.

SC Ventures, the innovation, ventures and FinTech investments unit of Standard Chartered Bank, has created a market-first platform to connect community builders such as start-ups, investors and accelerators to the Bank.

Trade Mission

In November 2018 the Chamber created a programme of activities for a group of 12 British FinTech companies as they attended a Trade Mission to scope the potential of the Singapore market for export and expansion.

Orient

In November 2018's Orient magazine we posed the question to our member companies - What are the opportunities and risks for the FinTech sector? We received comments from 26 member companies, published here.

UK News

In May 2016 the Government announced a FinTech Bridge with Singapore, helping UK FinTech firms and investors access the Asian market expand to Singapore, as well as attracting Singaporean FinTech companies and investors to the UK.
