The BTP is bringing "Big Girls Don't Cry" from London's West End to South East Asia, starring an all-British cast singing and narrating the tale of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Throughout its 15-year run, the production has been presented numerous times in London's West End, notably at the Lyric Theatre, the Dominion Theatre and the Savoy Theatre, as well as touring the major UK regional theatres year after year.

The play will premiere in Singapore for the first time on Friday, October 21, 2022, at One Farrer Hotel's Grand Ballroom theatre, and the BTP is presently seeking sponsorship and ticket sales to support their "Art for Charity" GALA dinner and show BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY.

About the charity - #Engage Initiative Fund
We will be raising funds for the TRCL (The Rice Company Limited with IPC status in Singapore) #Engage Initiative which aims to bridge the digital divide that was highlighted during the recent Covid-19 public health crisis. Through a collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MOE) during the difficult times we endured during 2020, TRCL noted three gaps in society: a lack of access to digital devices among certain groups; a lack of digital literacy; a need for wholesome and original creative content.

As such, the #Engage Initiative aims to build a digitally inclusive society through:

  • Developing programmes which allow beneficiaries to experience immersive digital art content to create awareness and interest in the potential and possibilities of digital art technology
  • Developing arts and culture programmes (including online programmes) which allows for digital art engagement, engender creativity, inspire the acquisition of new skills (including digital skills) and art creation content
  • Developing an online arts platform which showcases the creativity and voices of children and youth to the community

Since 2020, the #Engage Initiative has reached out to over 1,350 children and youths across 74 primary and secondary schools in Singapore.
