Meet Victoria Garrett of Knight Frank: Finalist for Individual Contribution in our Annual Business Awards
What's made them Finalists
With a career spanning over a decade, Victoria's journey in the property industry began in 2003. Her rapid progression through the ranks of a large independent agency in London showcased her dedication and passion. She further honed her skills in a commercial agency while pursuing her diploma in surveying, solidifying her commitment to the residential sector.
Within the Business
Joining Knight Frank's London office in 2011, Victoria's specialisation in house sales in prestigious areas such as Chelsea, South Kensington, Belgravia, and Knightsbridge brought her in contact with high-net-worth individuals and ultra-high-net-worth clients from around the world. Her ability to cater to their unique needs and provide exceptional service set her apart.
In 2014, Victoria's expertise took her to the Middle East, where she led the New Homes team, successfully selling investment trophy assets to clients in the MENA area. Her outstanding performance and strategic approach contributed to the team's success.
In 2017, Victoria's journey led her to Singapore, assuming the role of Head of Residential for the Asia-Pacific region at Knight Frank. Her focus on expanding access to wealth in the region has been instrumental in enabling both Singaporean and Asia-Pacific high-net-worth individuals to diversify their investment portfolios with prime residential properties worldwide. With her close collaboration with the local Singapore teams, Victoria ensures unparalleled opportunities for growth and prosperity for UHNWIs’ investment portfolios.
Philanthropy
In late 2022, she made a resolute choice to embark on an extraordinary journey - pedElle2023, a remarkable cycling challenge for charity orchestrated by the esteemed Club Peloton, a tight-knit cycling community. With the aim of supporting vital causes like children's adoption, childhood cancer, and combating street crime, Victoria pushed herself to unimaginable limits. For six relentless months, she devoted herself to rigorous training, preparing for the thrilling cyclathon that awaited her in Slovenia. Alongside her fellow inspiring women from Knight Frank, Victoria spearheaded an astonishing fundraising effort, amassing a staggering £66,000 for Club Peloton.
Diversity and Inclusion
As a leader, Victoria has mentored and guided talented individuals like Samantha Yu, Senior Director and Head of International Project Marketing, Chinese Mainland, and Georgina Atkinson, Head of U.S. Residential Developments, Asia Pacific, Middle East & Europe at Knight Frank, fostering their professional growth and success.
Victoria goes beyond her role at Knight Frank Asia-Pacific and actively contributes to the British Chamber of Commerce by being a part of the Women in Business Committee. Through hosting International Women's Day events, thought leadership campaigns, and panel discussions on diversity and inclusion, she champions the cause of women in the industry.
It is clear that Victoria's vision extends beyond ticking a box - she genuinely believes in promoting women for their valuable contributions and insights in senior leadership positions. By advocating for a more diverse senior management and c-suite, she is driving positive change in the real estate industry.
