HASLAM PREESTON

Haslam Preeston was appointed Head of Digital Business in June 2019. He is responsible for developing the Group's digital and innovation strategy and the implementation of programmes to support digital transformation and growth strategies across the Group.

Following an early career in the British army, Mr Preeston joined the Jardine Matheson Group in 2001, where he undertook various roles in Jardine Wines & Spirits, Jardine Motors, Jardine Matheson Limited and Hongkong Land, in which time he was based in Beijing, Macau and Indonesia. 

Prior to his current role, he was Regional Managing Director of Jardine Cycle & Carriage with responsibility for overseeing motor operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar and Indonesia (excluding those held by Astra).

Haslam sits on the Board of the British Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and was the Chairman of the British Chamber in Indonesia from 2011 to 2014. He also sits on the Singapore Ministry of Defence's ACCORD Employer Advisory Council and is a volunteer officer in the Singapore Police Force. 

Mr Preeston attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, has a Bachelor of Arts in War Studies from King's College London, University of London and a Master of Arts in Chinese Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He has also completed the General Management Programme at Harvard Business School.
