2021 was another challenging year for many of us. We were faced with another year of little or no travel and being apart from friends and family; plus the world of work continued to evolve faster than anyone could have anticipated before covid. In LTPD we were on top of these challenges and were proactive in providing members with insights to support organisations fast paced transition to the new world of work.  We kicked off the year with a future of leadership podcast and followed up soon after with another exciting podcast on Global and Intercultural leadership hosted by the University of Coventry.

Our first major panel event of the year, Back to the Future, What leadership strategies are emerging for the new workplace? Explored the long term changes to work, preparing for a new path forward and what, if anything will go back to how it was?  Next up, we partnered with the Financial Times for the first time to host an event on Board Crisis Preparedness. This was a very open discussion which involved some great audience questions and real debate from the panellists.

We rounded off the year events by partnering with the diversity committee How to Embed Diversity & Inclusion into your Hiring Process. We then had the privilege to interview the Chambers new Gold Future of Work Sponsor Globalisation Partners. Through an orient article and recently publish podcast, Charles Ferguson shared with us expert insights about the future of workplace culture, how to attract the best talent and what might be in store for us in the new world of work. If you haven’t heard it yet (or any other of our events or podcasts) please check out the Chambers sites to download.

As always, a huge thank you to the committee, Chamber, Helen Starr and Don Rapley for all the hard work that goes on to make the committee successful.
