Osprey Aviation Ltd., the UK-based subsidiary of Air 7 Asia, formally signed the Armed Forces Covenant at a special ceremony on 8 October 2026, held at Air 7 Asia's corporate office and hangar in Seletar, Singapore.
The event was attended by the Deputy Chief of Air Staff (DCAS) of the United Kingdom, alongside representatives from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office at the British High Commission Singapore, underscoring the significance of the partnership between Osprey Aviation and the UK Armed Forces community.
By signing the Covenant, Osprey Aviation formally committed to upholding its core principles - that no member of the Armed Forces community should face disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services compared to other citizens, and that special consideration was appropriate in some circumstances, particularly for the injured or bereaved."
Air 7 Asia and Osprey Aviation were founded to deliver a first-class service in private aviation and medical
evacuation. As veteran-led companies, we recognised early on the distinctive skills, discipline and work ethic that former service personnel bring to our industry," said Jamie Lenox, Managing Director of Air 7 Asia and a former RAF fighter pilot.
A Veteran-Led Commitment
As a veteran-led company, Osprey Aviation brings first-hand understanding of the value that Service personnel,
reservists, veterans and military families bring to the aviation industry. Through the Covenant, the company will:
- Promote the Armed Forces: championing the professionalism, skills and values of Service personnel
within its business, customer networks, and across the aviation sector, while encouraging other employers to support the Covenant. - Support veteran recruitment: actively recruiting veterans in recognition of their transferable skills and
experience, working with the Career Transition Partnership, and offering guaranteed interviews to veteran applicants who meet essential role criteria. - Support Service spouses and partners: offering flexible working arrangements where possible and
advertising vacancies through Forces Families Jobs. - Support Reservists: granting additional leave for annual training and taking a flexible, supportive
approach to mobilisation, ensuring no Reservist is disadvantaged in their career. - Support Cadet Force Adult Volunteers: offering flexibility and additional leave where practicable, and
providing cadet units with site visits, work experience and insight into aviation careers. - Support Armed Forces charities: through fundraising activities and staff volunteering, with particular
focus on those supporting veterans of the aviation and wider Service community.
"We are fortunate to count a significant number of former HM Forces personnel among our team, and we have also established a strong pipeline for former Republic of Singapore Air Force personnel," Lenox added.
Osprey Aviation publicised these commitments through its literature, staff notices and website, and invited ongoing feedback from the Service community, staff and customers on its progress.
"As we continue to grow in Singapore, the Channel Islands and the United Kingdom, signing the Armed Forces Covenant is a natural step for us, and one we are extremely proud to take."
