Finding the Best Fit: Choosing Courses and Universities in the UK

With 166 universities in the UK, and more universities in the top 100 global rankings than the rest of Europe combined, finding the best fit isn't easy business. Choosing only five options from the 35,000 different courses offered throughout these institutions is sure to give any applicant a headache. Luckily, throughout our years of working with local and international students from Singapore and beyond, we have narrowed down the best strategy for pairing each applicant to their dream universities. We're here to take you on a road trip of these top UK institutions, navigate how to go about choosing the right academic course, and provide strategic insights to give you the best chance of success.

Key highlights:

  • Different 'tiers' of UK universities
  • What exactly is the Russell Group?
  • Where do the best students (Singaporeans and international students) apply?
  • Identifying your priorities - campus vs. city, London vs. national
  • Maximizing your potential through the right course - year-by-year course structure, research
  • funding, subject and university rankings
