The Marlborough Community Pops Orchestra & Chorus: An Exclusive Performance at Victoria Concert Hall

Marlborough College Malaysia is delighted to announce an exclusive community performance by the Marlborough Community Pops Orchestra & Chorus, to be held at the prestigious Victoria Concert Hall in Singapore on 11th January 2025.

The concert will showcase the unique Marlborough ‘Pops’ Orchestra, an inclusive and diverse ensemble bringing together pupils, parents and teachers, with both amateur and semi-professional musicians from within the MCM community. The Marlborough ‘Pops’ Orchestra will present a vibrant selection of popular music, from show tunes and movie scores to light classical compositions, echoing the iconic style of the Boston Pops Orchestra. A wonderful addition to the orchestra is the Marlborough Pops Chorus, a community-focused initiative open to MCM pupils, parents, teachers, and friends, enhancing this musical celebration. 

Under the direction of MCM’s Master, Mr. Simon Burbury, and MCM’s Director of Music, Mr Geraint Watkins, the Marlborough Community Pops Orchestra & Chorus offers our most talented students an invaluable opportunity to perform as they progress in their artistic journeys.
