Rough Seas: Iran, Operation Economic Outcast and Maritime Sanctions Enforcement

ROUGH SEAS: IRAN, OPERATION ECONOMIC OUTCAST AND MARITIME SANCTIONS ENFORCEMENT
We are pleased to invite you to a timely discussion on the US Operation Economic Outcast and its implications for the maritime and shipping community.
The campaign has begun with a significant expansion of US Treasury sanctions against Iran, including sectoral designations covering the maritime, aviation, gold, digital assets and technology sectors, almost 80 new OFAC SDN designations, and a new maritime advisory addressing sanctions risks arising from Iran-related engagements and safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
With a significant number of the new designations involving Asia-based entities, including companies in Singapore and Malaysia, the implications for regional businesses are particularly relevant.
Charlie Brown (Skylight and former US Navy) and Nelson McMillan (Royal Navy) will join our sanctions expert, Jonathan Goacher, to examine the practical implications for shipowners, charterers, insurers and maritime service providers, including the risks arising from vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, Singapore Strait and Strait of Malacca.
We hope you can join us for what promises to be a timely and practical discussion.
