Sustainability

In this seminar, we will explore the research and innovations that are being developed to ensure the sustainability of freshwater supplies in urban centres such as Singapore in the context of climate change.

Extreme weather, flooding and coastal inundation are examples of climate change-induced threats to water supplies.

Strategies are being developed to reduce these threats, such as the adoption of renewable energies, improved efficiency in water treatment and recycling systems, as well as carbon-neutral water management.
