1954Philip Mawrey launched the UKMRA in response to the need for trade support from British business interests in Asia. The UKMRA had five founding members and Philip remained as President for nine years, up to his retirement. 1998A new Constitution was launched and with the support of the British High Commissioner, 25 Sustaining Member companies enabled the Chamber to continue, many of whom are still members to this day.
