Nicola Laurijssen - Experienced supplier manager and event professional based in Singapore

Originally from the UK, my family and I have lived in Singapore for the last 10 years. I have recently been made redundant from CWT Singapore (business travel management company) where I have worked for the last 5 years. In my role as APAC Lead, Global Supplier Manager, I managed a portfolio of preferred suppliers on behalf of the meeting and events teams in Singapore, Australia and China. I expanded CWT’s network of suppliers throughout the APAC region since I joined, and I am well versed at identifying, building and maintaining relationships. I have implemented new global/regional strategies and created value propositions to present to potential partners. I regularly conducted market analysis, looking at trends and their influence, while collaborating and communicating with various internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

I have previously worked as a conference and event planner for a non-profit medical association in the UK. I autonomously managed and ran multiple complex events during my four years there, sourcing venues, managing budgets, promoting the events, inviting speakers & VIP’s, dealing with registrations & catering, while overseeing event communications on behalf of the company.

I have a variety of versatile skills and attributes that I have learned and developed throughout my career, and I am looking forward to putting these into practice in my next role. I have a friendly, positive, and professional outlook, with a can-do proactive attitude, striving for overall team success.
