Hello, my name is Poppy, and I am actively seeking internship or graduate scheme opportunities in Singapore. I am currently pursuing an MA in Politics at the University of Edinburgh, where I am on track to graduate in July 2025. My academic journey recently included a transformative year abroad at the Singapore Management University (August 2023 – April 2024), which deepened my passion for Singaporean politics, business, and its unique role on the global stage. This experience has shaped my dissertation topic: "In what ways and how effective is Singapore responding to Chinese coercion?"

Through my studies and time in Singapore, I developed a strong interest in industries such as shipping, management consulting, financial services, public relations, and politics. While these sectors are varied, they reflect my enthusiasm for exploring diverse opportunities to expand my skill set and increase my chances of returning to Singapore, a city that has truly inspired me with its innovation and dynamism.

In addition to my academic achievements, I have honed valuable professional skills through roles in customer service, administration, and logistics, showcasing my adaptability, resilience, and client-focused approach. My extracurricular involvement has further enhanced my leadership, organisational, and problem-solving abilities, whether as a team captain in university sports, a welfare representative, or a charity organizer.

One highlight of my time in Singapore was organizing a North-to-South charity run that raised nearly £1,000 for Doctors Without Borders in response to the ongoing Gaza crisis. This initiative reflects my proactive mindset, leadership qualities, and commitment to meaningful causes.
