Research Analyst
Tractus' Analysts form the core of Tractus' consulting teams. Multinational, multilingual and multidisciplinary, our research team is responsible for working alongside other teammates and contributing to framing and solving clients’ challenges. Analysts are responsible for executing research and analysis tasks and have a wide variety of exposure to diverse projects, clients and stakeholders across the public and private sector. They split their time between primary field research and secondary desktop research and supporting Tractus’ business development/marketing efforts whenever needed.
At Tractus, Analysts usually already have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in planning and executing market research projects as well interfacing with clients. As a Research Analyst, you’re expected to have excellent written, presentation, data gathering and analytical skills. This role also provides ample opportunity to develop your business development and marketing capabilities as well as leadership skills by managing accounts or specific projects and clients.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Work as part of project/client engagement team undertaking secondary and primary research including interviews in person and telephone research; B2B matchmaking; due diligence; and feasibility studies
- Organize and analyze research data/findings to ensure that strategic analysis and tactical commercial advice is appropriate, credible and accurate
- Consistently meet client commitments on schedule and exceeding their expectations;
- Take initiative to continuously develop his/her analytical, managerial and administrative skills;
- Undertake consulting practice administrative tasks as well as support Business Development efforts when needed including attending business meetings and proposal writing
- Facilitate clients trade missions/promotional events, including business meetings, as directed by Directors, Managers & Team Leaders
- Periodic domestic and international travel (when applicable)
Qualifications:
- Between 1- 3 years of business consulting, market research or other relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business or Finance with related coursework in Economics or Business
- Previous work experience in market research, operational business management and/or financial analysis preferably at a professional services firm (consulting, market research, banking/finance)
- Excellent at critically assessing problems through quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Able to identify creative solutions to find data and research problems. A ‘solutions’ oriented mindset is crucial for this role
- Candidates are expected to be proactive, independent, and able to work under pressure, with strong proven research skills. Being able to take initiative will be a key trait for this role
- Keen eye for detail
- Well-developed analytical and organizational skills and a proven ability to complete tasks accurately and on schedule
- Strong consulting, business process, project management and leadership skills
- Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task;
- Able to use all MS software products competently at an advanced level: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Project
- Excellent written and oral professional business communication and presentation skills in English
- Ability and experience of working in a multi-cultural setting
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally (when applicable)
- International work experience/background a distinct advantage
- Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia and/or Bahasa Melayu a distinct advantage Must be already based in Singapore and eligible to work here
