Tanglin recently hosted Interpretations - a collaborative arts initiative with The National Gallery, Singapore. Held at the stunning Padang Atrium and the Spine Hall, where Tanglin students performed music, poetry and their artwork was exhibited.
Head of Senior Art and Design at Tanglin, Elizabeth Anstiss said,
"Interpretations is about acknowledging the impact of engaging in visual and performing arts, and what magical journeys it can take young minds on. It’s incredible to be able to facilitate the opportunity for our students to showcase their creative talents in The National Gallery, Singapore, both to our community and the general public."
Tanglin Trust School would like to thank Dr Eugene Tan, CEO of National Gallery, Singapore and Singapore Art Museum for hosting this venture.
Tanglin Trust School offers a comprehensive arts programme which gives students the option to study Art at A-Level or IB in Sixth Form. The programme includes workshops from visiting British and Singaporean artists, art history lessons, student exhibitions, and various art trips around Singapore and the wider region.
As part of the Tanglin Centennial Arts Trail, the school has a growing collection of commissioned works funded by The Tanglin Foundation.
