Trovio and EY Awarded Multi-Year UNFCCC Mandate to Deliver Paris Agreement Article 6 Registry Infrastructure

Trovio, a Chamber Member, in partnership with EY, has been awarded a multi-year contract by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to deliver and operate the core registry infrastructure supporting Article 6.2 and Article 6.4 of the Paris Agreement.

This mandate marks a significant milestone in the development of the global carbon market architecture under the Paris Agreement. The registry infrastructure will underpin international carbon credit transfers and the centralised crediting mechanism, ensuring integrity, transparency, and operational robustness across participating jurisdictions.

Trovio will deploy its proprietary environmental market infrastructure platform, CorTenX, which is already operating with multiple governments and institutions globally. CorTenX supports a diverse range of asset classes, including:

  • Carbon credits
  • Biodiversity units
  • Renewable gas
  • Biofuels
  • Precious metals

The UNFCCC appointment reinforces Trovio’s position at the forefront of global environmental market infrastructure and demonstrates growing international confidence in scalable, secure, and interoperable registry systems.
